Making research a reality requires knowing how to manage teams and deal with bureaucracy
Investment in research, development and innovation by organizations ensures their sustainable development and competitiveness in the market. However, turning ideas into R&D&I projects often requires public funding.
To obtain this funding, it is necessary to embark on a process of applying for calls for proposals, preparing applications, supporting and managing projects, and justifying the work carried out.
At Intergia, we are familiar with and participate in public funding for R&D&I through regional, national, and international project calls. We specialize in obtaining Spanish national calls from the European Innovation Partnership for Agricultural Productivity and Sustainability (EIP-Agri) Supra-Regional Operational Groups and European calls from the LIFE Program.
How we can help you
- 1
Shaping the idea: based on the initial idea presented, it is necessary to study which calls for proposals it fits into, reinforce it, and shape it so that it becomes a fundable project proposal.
- 2
Create the right consortium: in order to successfully develop the project, it is essential to have a multidisciplinary team that covers all needs (coordination, administration, research, engineering, technical, communication). To do this, it is necessary to have the right contacts and know how to reach other entities that may participate in the project.
- 3
Preparing the application: applying for an R&D&I project call for proposals is often a cumbersome and bureaucratic process. For the project to be evaluated favorably and obtain public funding, it is necessary to meet all the requirements and present the idea in an attractive way on paper.
In order to prepare the application properly and in a timely manner, it is necessary to coordinate the team of people who will be working on it. - 4
Corrections: Sometimes, prior to notification of project approval, clarification of certain points or correction or submission of documentation may be requested. This phase can be considered an extension of the application preparation phase, and can be frustrating, but it must be done properly in order to continue with the process.
- 5
Project development: the success of an R&D&I project does not depend solely on the capabilities of the technical and human resources responsible for carrying out the work. At the same time, adequate management is necessary to ensure that objectives are met on time, resources (human and financial) are managed, documentation is handled, and the project is communicated and disseminated, etc.
- 6
Justify the work and request payment: at the end of the project, or sometimes also at intermediate stages, it is necessary to justify the work carried out and the results achieved in order to request any funding that has not yet been received. Depending on the call for proposals, this requires a greater or lesser amount of work in preparing documentation (drafting explanations, filling out forms, submitting bids, meeting minutes, photographs, etc.)
